Important political partiesin India

 The World's largest and youngest democracy has the largest number of political parties. The subcontinent and its way of thinking is very unique. It is surprising to know how much caste based , religion based , language based , region based parties are in India.But Only some parties have strong support base at grass root level. The Indian National Congress  is the biggest political party with huge supporter base. Indeed Congress is the linking point. Even in remote villages you could find a follower although  he may be too old. The largest religion based party in all the democracies in the world may be Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It may be the second largest party in this nation.Communists once considered as big forces are now spent forces. An important phenomena you have to notice is the growth linguistic and regional parties. Even there are cine actors  parties in south  which  are also popular.
